It’s been sir real to say the least. Going on tour, or any long vacation for that matter is always much more appreciated when you have time to kick back, have a drink and look at the pics that (can I get queer here?) will last a life time. We have been traveling for days, thousands of miles, tons of rest areas, Dave The Couch has eated over five Chicken Fried Steaks at this point, we have seen and socialized with some of the most interesting and bizzarre individuals that you can imagine; and now we arrive in Nashville. A couple days back we played on WOXY.com out of Cinci….for those of you (in Jersey especially) who don’t know WOXY, it is the biggest indie station in the midwest, with acts such as Ra Ra Riot (family realted band) and endless more indie bands that have climbed (and continue to climb) up the ladder of buliding a fanbase….WOXY is a place that provides a natural and genuine spread of good tunes to the galaxy with several thousand listeners….it was an accomplishment….something I have been pulling and working for for years….and we did it….and if I may say so….we rocked the shit out of the set. Thanks WOXY!

You play and play and play, in front of everyone, no one, a couple people dancing, alot of people dancing, people walk by, they give you a nod, they smile, or they frown…they buy an album, sometimes they dont, most of the time they don’t….but when it’s all said and done…as Matt Shiv (WOXY DJ) mentioned….you have to put in the time, and the work to get to where you want to go. I’m feeling a tad deep today, I also have horrible gas and layed a bomb on stage last night that nearly knocked Adam on The Rocks off the stage….

I woke up from a nap and caught Wrong Again Dave drinking my Vitamin Water, now I’m scheeved out and need to take a shower.

He’s starting to look like an actual chicken fried steak….I didn’t think that’s possible. Tim has been a breath of fresh positive air… I got deep with him a couple nights ago, a tad tipsy going up to the hotel room, talking about how much I love playing and his response was “Tim esque” to say the least.

“I have no idea what you just said and have been holding in my piss for about two hours.”

Welcome To Lawrence KS….where are the fucking keys?

Okay. Well. We’re sitting in our second EconoLodge of the tour, which happens to be much more fabulous, not to mention a tad more sanitary than the one in Indiana. No offense Indiana, but I would like to forget you as a state for one reason which will get to in a bit. We just got back from The Red Lyon, a bar here in Lawrence which was awesome, we were expecting cheaper beers, which is pretty stupid of us, we went under the assumption that it’s the mid west, it must be cheaper. Tim seemed concerned about it and asked all of us what we paid for our beers….it was quite unmemorable. There were a group of students walking by singing “Seasons of Love” from the wonderful production Rent which is not nearly as awesome as the play “Lease” that Trey and Matt wrote in Team America, which I find to be much more accurate and hysterical. Adam sang along with the kids which was cute…and scary. We’ve put him to sleep now. Zach is currently in the bathroom for the last thirty minutes…I have to take a shower after he gets out, that should be great before my show.

As were driving through Missouri we realized we lost a set of keys for the rent a van….not good. I blame Dave, he blames me, I stopped talking for three hours and forced myself into a nap; we called the Indiana hotel, they have them, and hopefully will be mailing them to my apartment. Pray.

Joey Pal here from Thing-One…we leave for our first national tour in about thirteen hours…our first stop is Indianapolis to get a lil shut-eye (is that how you spell it), then Thursday morning we head to Lawrence Kansas and will be opening for Yourself and The Air at Replay Lounge, tell a friend or two….I’m not sure if some of the boxer shorts I’m bringing are clean, sometimes I throw clothes back in my dresser after a long days work, dillusional and exhausted, as I am right now, I should probably give all my underwear a once-over so that I dont have any suprises while sitting in a van for twelve hours tommorow with men that are as frightening to look at as a port a john after a hippee festival. I went to the doctor today because I’m basically a hypochondriac (wrong spelling)…I told him my back hurt as well as my neck and that I have major anxiety on the road, he gave me flonase and an inhaler; I’m guessing he saw right through my measly attempt to get something a little more fun? Thanks Doc. The biggest thing that concerns me is our main man Dave The Couch a.k.a Wrong Again Dave (who books our shows) is coming along for the ride, his nose hair is long enough to floss his own teeth with and I’m not sure if I can handle it for three weeks. I bought an acoustic guitar today to keep us busy in the van.

ByeBye everyone. check us out every so often on here..Chris I have every single tee shirt you ever gave me in my suitcase….those are def clean, I know that.
