Most people have heard by now the terrible earthquake that pretty much put a permanent dent in the country of Haiti. From what most of us already know is that their are probably going to be over 100,00 people dead and it’s undetermined how long this may take to return an already poor country back to somewhat stable. What is good about this country is that we acted fast, unlike our idiot president before Obama and have sent help down to make sure the people get the proper medical attention as well as the essentials of food and water. I recently heard today that the Department of Homeland Security is rounding up all the orphaned infants and children who have no family left and bringing them to the United States to be adopted by fitting parents, which is comforting to know. Most of us can’t do anything but send a few bucks given our current economy and lack of work so it’s cool to know a lot of big time and small time bands who we love are releasing some B-Side material and limited edition shit that you can but where all proceeds will go to help Haiti. Bands as big as Blink 182 and as small as indie labels Sargent House records are doing what they can to raise money to send over to the various groups helping the people of Haiti. Just look around at various music sites to see which one of your favorite bands is trying to sell you some cool shit so they can send money over. Below is a really awesome song by The Arcade Fire which they released several years ago on Funeral called “Haiti” and it seems only fitting that I post it below for your pleasure.

might be one of the most depressing but moving music videos ive ever seen especially with what happened…kinda crazy that it came out several years ago too… A+ post
