Probably one of the greatest up and coming drummer’s of this music age just passed away today, his name is Jimmy Sullivan AKA “The Rev” and he was the drummer for Avenged Sevenfold. Even if you were a fan or hater of the band, you have to appreciate how good this man was at rocking the shit out of a drum set and hope that he rests in peace. ”The Beast And The Harlot” intro where he just drums across his set is one of the best drumming solo’s I’ve heard out of anyone since Vinnie Paul from Pantera, so if you get the chance check that song out. Unfortunately no cause of death has yet been identified but I’m sure more will be brought to everyone’s attention in the coming days and to read the statement on the band’s website, click below.
