Ramblings

So apparently Rage Against The Machine did a live studio performance in England for a local radio station due to the band’s increasing popularity overseas.  They performed the song “Killing In The Name” and at the final verse where it was supposed to be edited, Zach Delrocha screamed “Fuck you, I won’t do what they tell me” over and over again on live radio until the feed was cut by producers.  Since then the band’s song has been number one for the past week on radio charts and the band’s popularity has sky rocketed.  Ohhhh Rage Against The Machine, how you still push the envelope with your crazy anti-politics and freedom of speech still to this day, even though your technically broken up and won’t put out an album.  To me the politic stuff gets a little annoying when you start getting all preachy about it and nobody likes a cry baby either.  Either way the band is pretty stellar and will continue to appeal to other generations just because of the raw talent each member of the band contributes.  I don’t know if I could name one bad song off their self titled first album and couldn’t even probably name a favorite because the album is just so damn good.

In other news, Brittany Murphy died yesterday so it’s official the Mayan’s may be right with their 2012 guess since famous people are dying left and right due to drugs and freak cardiac arrests by the age of 30.  Our economy still sucks, theirs no jobs out there, I get paid only 70 dollars a day to substitute teach, Wall Street are a bunch of scum bags, my last job was equivalent to working with Hitler, my college loans are outrageous and I’m still in college, we got 2 feet of snow and I can’t go anywhere and it’s fucking Monday.  So much going on musically though so it cheers me right up knowing their is so much good music being produced today, here are some random bands I’ve been obsessed with lately.
