I just got really into this new indie band who is currently making waves in the indie rock seen and who happens to be from New Jersey called Real Estate (Not to be confused with newly reunited Sunny Day Real Estate).  Their music is sort of this chill and poppy surf rock that makes you want to jones out after a surf sesh or just listen to them all day on a Lifeguard stand because it makes references to the beach and various Jersey Shore elements in all of their songs.  The album is fairly new and has received some very decent reviews from several online rating sites such as Pitchfork.com with a 8.6 out of 10.  They are currently touring around the country but hopefully will be making a stop back home soon to play some local shows considering most of them are close to the shore.  The band is so “Jersey Shore” that it has great song titles such as ”Beach Comber”, “Atlantic City”, “Pool Swimmers” and “Green Room” but don’t be expecting blowouts and Red Bull vodka song titles after your first impression on Jersey now is that MTV show.   I really enjoy this album and would recommend it for anyone who is interested in Indie rock in general and for anymore who enjoys beach and surf culture, the band heavily emphasizes this sound in their songs.  The song posted below is their single “Pool Swimmers” which has gotten some fairly positive responses on Youtube so be sure to have  a listen when you get the chance.
