Onto other news and I hate to be biased as hell talking about Modest Mouse again but I absolutely loved Heath Ledger as Skip in Lords of Dogtown and obviously as the Joker in The Dark Knight but I couldn’t be more excited to finally see the video he did for Modest Mouse’s “King Rat” finally surface.  The song is another perfect example of how broad the band’s range is musically and the fact that this song is a B-Side is ridiculous, they play this song everytime I’ve seen them live.  Apparantly Heath was a huge fan of the band and a close friend to Isaac Brock so it’s pretty cool to see the trippy finished product.  A bunch of sea creatures on a boat fishing for other sea creatures while singing along is something you actually think about while listening to their recent material.  It’s a shame a talent like him had to die young and so tragically but it seems like the best always leave early, unfortunately.   I added the video below for your viewing pleasure and on an ending note I would like to know if the press is ever gonna stop reporting that Michael Jackson is dead and interviewing random people who knew him.
