I figured I would reference to the Blink 182 reunion considering it’s the band you loved to hate in middle school and high school years.  But the truth is after each album they put out you had to admit you at least like a few songs despite some of the cheese sandwich songs they put out as singles. 

Most people prefer their early work such as Chesire Cat and Dude Ranch which is an absolute Emo Punk masterpiece with the hits “Dammit” and “Josie” rocking the charts.  Then out of nowhere they blew up into this phenom with Enema of the State which definately has it’s cheeseball singles such as “All The Small Things” but you have to admit “Adam’s Song” and “What’s My Age Again” are fucking awesome songs.  The band was the first band to really bring the genre to the mainstream and really make a joke about it with their nude antics and Tom Foolery. 

I wasn’t really a big fan of their next two releases after that but they had some decent tracks off of them but it wasn’t really till their unfortunate last release with the self titled album that I really appreciated them.  The album has so many strong tracks and they really got rid of the cheese on this album by coming up with songs like “I Miss You” and “Violence” which absolutely rips.  Track by track the whole album is solid and a hit among new and old fans alike and I’m really glad to see them set aside their differences and get the band back together.  I wonder if anybody whose in middle school now even knows who Blink 182 is and if they think that Fall Out Boy is the reason for Emo Punk and if they do I hope they get to check out Blink 182 on tour because the band reminds me of when I was growing up through all the awkward years they always sang about.
